Sedans are the go-to vehicle for drivers who want their time on the road to be as comfortable as possible, not only for themselves but also for their passengers. Spacious cabins and ample trunk space define sedans, and U.S. News & World Report just rounded up the “20 Roomiest Sedans in 2019.” It’s no surprise that Nissan has two on the list — the 2019 Maxima and the 2019 Altima.

Praised for its refined performance courtesy of its 3.5-liter V6 engine, the 2019 Nissan Maxima also got kudos for its well-appointed interior.

“Inside, first-row occupants are treated to a cabin that offers wide and comfortable seats, along with top notch materials used on the dash and door panels,” according to U.S. News & World Report writer Nick Kurczewski.

The 2019 Maxima offers a choice of six trim levels, and its V6 engine is paired to an Xtronic Continuously Variable Transmission to generate 300 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque. A leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob are standard while leather-appointed seats and heated front seats are available features.

The 2019 Nissan Altima earned attention for its updates, including its advanced infotainment system and overall performance.

“The handling is sharper, the ride is nicely controlled, and there is now the option of adding all-wheel drive, too,” Kurczewski writes. “Cargo space is ample at 15.4-cubic feet, and, while it won’t help you to haul more groceries, the Altima’s vastly updated infotainment system is certain to take some stress out of routine drives and errands.”
