Nissan Vmotion 2.0 Concept Looks to the Future

Nissan Vmotion 2.0At the North American International Auto Show in Detroit, Nissan unveiled its latest concept car, the Nissan Vmotion 2.0. The car’s futuristic shell is packed full of infotainment and autonomous driving features, and it looks like it would be a great ride, if it was a production model. The thing is, from the minute it rolled out, the first thing we thought to ourselves was “That’s a Nissan Maxima.”

Take a look at the Nissan Vmotion 2.0 concept car for yourself in our gallery.

To be fair, the Nissan Vmotion 2.0 concept is supposed to be a highly-stylized look into the next phase of “V-Motion” design that Nissan has been using in its latest models, so it’s only natural that it resembles what they already have (especially the Nissan Maxima, one of the most drastic examples of that design philosophy). The recognizable Nissan v-shaped grille is taken to the next step, with the chrome arc and badge pulling further forward away from the rest of the grille for a 3D effect. The creases and edges are more extreme versions of those currently carried by refreshed vehicles in the Nissan lineup.

Where this concept car gets truly futuristic is under the hood and inside the cabin. The car uses Nissan Intelligent Driving, which allows the car to control itself on the highway and on city streets. Passengers enter the car through doors that open outward to reveal a light grey interior with quilted seats for ultimate comfort. There is also a lot of Zebra Wood trim on the doors and floor for an extra touch of class. This concept car’s theoretical passengers would also enjoy the screen in the backseat that allows them to have control of the vehicle’s infotainment and other systems.

If this is a look into the future of Nissan, we cannot wait for the latest refreshes from the automaker. As always, we will keep you informed on The News Wheel as Nissan announces redesigned models.
