There are many ways for a company to promote a vehicle. They can show it off at an auto show. They can display it in dealership lobbies. They can place billboards for it around cities. Mercedes-Benz thinks all those options are boring. So for a second year, they are hosting a concert tour to promote their CLA and GLA class vehicles.
Mercedes just announced its second Evolution Tour in a press release through PR Newswire. The company decided to continue the concert series after its success in 2014. The tour is scheduled to stop in five cities: New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles, Atlanta, and Austin. It begins in June and concludes in October.
Last year’s musical headliners served as a tough act to follow, consisting of Young the Giant, Alabama Shakes, and Mayer Hawthorne. However, Mercedes met the challenge, and this year will feature performances by Bastille and Passion Pit.
In addition to music, the outdoor muralist Zio Ziegler and painter Gregory Siff will also be at the events to add some artistic flair. Mercedes has even set up an Evo Style Factory with braiding, bedazzling, and other features to make you look soooo good.
Behind all the fashion, performances, and art, the Evolution Tour is promoting the Mercedes Benz CLA Class Coupe and GLA Class SUV, two of its luxury vehicles. Mercedes hopes the event will generate interest for the vehicles in its younger demographics.
With the impressive lineup that Mercedes has for the tour, they’re not going to have to ask how to be an optimist about this.
Tour Dates:
New York City: June 23
Chicago: July 29
Los Angeles: August 4
Atlanta: September 3
Austin: October 22
