The Badger State makes a great road-trip destination, whether you’re exploring a scenic outdoor expanse like Devil’s Lake State Park, visiting Frank Lloyd Wright’s country home, or stopping by the Harley-Davidson Museum. Here are four offbeat hotels worth staying at on your next Wisconsin getaway.

Sophisticated Perks: Discover the advantages of going with Cadillac

The Iron Horse Hotel

For your next Milwaukee escape, book a room at The Iron Horse Hotel. This luxury hotel includes a fitness center which includes massage rooms to help you relax. It’s also a great place to go if you prefer to travel with your dog. Simply request one of the venue’s pet-friendly rooms, which are accommodating for dogs of all sizes. The hotel also caters to bikers, since it’s in close proximity to the Harley-Davidson Museum, with on-site motorcycle parking, a bike-wash station, and Thursday bike nights.

The Sundara Inn & Spa

When visiting the Wisconsin Dells area, you’ll want to reserve lodging at Sundara Inn & Spa. See for yourself why this venue achieved fourth place on Travel + Leisure magazine’s “World’s Best Awards for 2018” list. Spa services range from massages to facials to halotherapy, depending on your preference. Though, you can also enjoy an onsite fitness center and a round of golf at the adjacent Wild Rock Golf Club.

Karsten Hotel

Karsten Hotel, also known as Kewaunee Inn, caters to history buffs and paranormal enthusiasts. The interior is comprised of the building’s original woodwork, tall ceilings, oriental rugs, and antique furniture. Two ghosts are purported to roam the hotel’s halls: Kewaunee mayor William Karsten and a housekeeper named Agatha. Rooms 205 to 210 are the former quarters that Karsten occupied, and the location of his fatal heart attack back in 1940. Room 310 is where Agatha lived and served the hotel.

Rainbow Ridge Farms B&B

Nestled in the hills of La Crosse, Rainbow Ridge Farms B&B provides a family-friendly place to spend the night. Enjoy a fresh breakfast each morning and experience a “goat yoga” session. If you visit in early spring, make sure to check the “baby due dates” part of the website, to time your visit around the due dates of newborn goats.
