The SEMA drag race was the best untold story of the show.

The 2014 SEMA Show rocked the first half of November with style, showing off a number of innovative accessories and technologies on concept vehicles from the world’s major automakers. But it was the SEMA drag race that followed, sponsored by Motor Trend, where the real magic happened. (Check out the race in the video at the bottom of this post.)

This year, Motor Trend’s SEMA drag race included a 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, a 2013 Chevrolet Sonic RS, a ’55 Chevy Bel Air, and a Jeep FC. Technically speaking, of the four competitors, only the Hellcat and the FC were on display at SEMA, although Chevy had quite the offering of its own.

It’s pretty obvious from the get-go that the Sonic RS and the Jeep FC don’t stand a chance, but the race is more about seeing the innovative cars in action. The real test was between the ’55 Bel Air and the Challenger SRT Hellcat.

But which one comes out on top? Check it out for yourself in the video below. (The actual race starts at about 6:49.)
