This week, Chevy is doing big things in Vegas at the 2014 SEMA Show. Not only is it showing off a Ricky Carmichael-inspired Colorado Performance Concept truck, but the Bowtie Brand is also unveiling the 2015 Camaro Commemorative Edition to mark the final year of the fifth-generation Camaro.

The special edition model includes unique 20-inch wheels, along with a body-color front splitter, an exclusive stripe, a ZL1 rear spoiler, and Commemorative Edition fender emblems. The model also gets the content from the RS package for the Camaro. Drivers can choose among five color combos for the 2015 Camaro Commemorative Edition: Ashen Gray Metallic with a silver stripe, Black with a cyber gray stripe, Red Hot with a black stripe, Silver Ice Metallic with a cyber gray stripe, and Summit White with a silver stripe. The SS models also get a hood insert (body-color).

More exciting is the exclusive Adrenaline Red interior. The red and black makes its way onto everything from the leather seats to the steering wheel to the shift knob to the center console lid.

It was important to Chevy to celebrate the success for the fifth-gen Camaro before it disappears. The model has been the best-selling performance car for five years in a row, outselling even the Mustang. Since April of 2009, more than 400,000 fifth-gen Camaros have been sold.

“The fifth-generation Camaro was a success from the moment it was introduced, in attracting both long-time Camaro fans and new buyers who have never owned a Chevrolet,” explained Todd Christensen, Camaro Marketing Manager. “We wanted to create a special edition Camaro that celebrates that success as the fifth generation comes to a close as the end of the model year.”

Besides, Chevy is no stranger to making special edition Camaros in the fifth generation. Over the years, the brand has manufactured the following: a 45th Anniversary edition, a Dusk edition, a Hot Wheels edition, an Indy Pace Car edition, a Neiman Marcus edition, a Synergy Series edition, and two Transformers editions.

The 2015 Camaro Commemorative Edition will be available on the 2LT and 2SS coupes and convertibles this spring.
