Consumers Digest’s 2014 ‘Best Buys’

The 2014 Dodge Durango was named to Consumers Digest’s 2014 ‘Best Buys’ list in the Large SUV category.

For over 48 years, Consumers Digest has been the guide for prospective new car buyers, awarding automobiles for outstanding value and showing consumers which cars are considered the “Best Buys.”  Given the automaker’s considerable resurgence over the past few years, it comes as little surprise that seven of Chrysler Group’s vehicles have been included on the Consumers Digest’s 2014 ‘Best Buys’ list, ensuring the automaker and its brands of a place as one of the most value-oriented in the industry.

Consumers Digest evaluates vehicles for their ability to provide drivers with the most value for their money in each segment. Value is determined by combing purchase price, ownership costs, comfort, performance and utility. Each vehicle is driven in numerous types of conditions and circumstances, allowing them to evaluate acceleration, ride quality, fuel economy, and styling among other factors.

“We are constantly making improvements to the performance and quality of our vehicles,” said Dough Betts, Senior Vice President of Quality for the Chrysler Group. “Our work never ends, but it is paying off with increase customer satisfaction and loyalty, as well as product awards like this from Consumer Digest.”

Among the Chrysler Group vehicles rewarded were the 2014 Chrysler 300, which was named a Luxury Car “Best Buy,” along with the 2014 Chrysler Town & Country and Dodge Grand Caravan. You won’t need Ron Burgundy to tell you that the 2014 Dodge Durango earned the “Best Buy” in the Large SUV category, while the Jeep Grand Cherokee was honored as a Midsize SUV, the Ram 1500 as a Full-Size Pickup category, and the Fiat 500 in the Subcompact Car segment.
