Subaru Named Best Overall Mainstream Brand by ALG
For the fourth time in its history, Subaru of America has been named Best Overall Mainstream Brand by ALG.
Subaru also won the Best Sports Car award for its WRX, Best Midsize Car award for its Legacy, Best Midsize Utility award for its Outback, Best Compact Car award for its Crosstrek, and Best Compact Utility award for its Forester.
The 2016 Subaru Forester comes with the choice of either a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine, which delivers 170 horsepower and 174 lb-ft of torque, or a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder, which is good for 250 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. In addition, the 2016 Forester earned a five-star safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).
The ALG Residual Value Awards are meant to showcase vehicles that are expected to retain the most value after a normal three-year period. Subaru was also named by ALG as the Best Mainstream Brand in 2010, 2011, and 2012.
“Offering safe, reliable vehicles that will retain value for our customers will always be a priority for Subaru,” said Thomas J. Doll, president and chief operating officer, Subaru of America, Inc. “We are honored to be recognized by ALG as the ‘Best Overall Mainstream Brand’ and to earn accolades for our vehicles across numerous market segments.”
