Subaru has a long history of giving back. Whether it’s setting up pet adoption areas at auto shows or working with cities across the country to raise money for HIV research, the automaker is constantly showing people that it truly cares for the well-being of others. Therefore, it should come as no surprise that Subaru is partnering with the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society to help spread warmth and hope to cancer patients nationwide.

“At Subaru, we are passionate about showing love and respect to all who interact with our brand through the Subaru Love Promise and meaningful partnerships with organizations like The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society,” said Thomas J. Doll, President and CEO of Subaru of America, Inc. “This year, I am honored to take on the role of Light The Night Corporate Walk Chair for the New Jersey Chapter of LLS. Our goal is to accelerate corporate support and help this annual fundraising event have an even greater impact, in order to move closer to a world without blood cancers.”

For the fourth year in a row, Subaru and LLS will deliver arts and crafts kits, blankets, and messages of support to cancer patients and their families. This plan aligns with the Subaru Loves to Care program, which is the health-specific initiative of the globally known Subaru Love Promise, in which the company hopes to provide more and more simple comforts to patients each year.

Throughout the month of June, visitors to the participating 542 Subaru dealerships across the country will have the opportunity to write personalized messages of support to cancer patients in their communities. At the end of the month, the local LLS chapters and Subaru dealers will deliver more than 43,000 blankets and 9,500 arts and crafts kits to local cancer patients. If you’d like to send a message to a patient without going to a dealership, you can do so online.
