Subaru Unveils WRX and WRX STI Series.White Editions
In the wake of last month’s announcement that Subaru would only be producing 209 models of the groundbreaking WRX STI S209, the automaker is teasing us with another limited production run of an exclusive WRX. At the 2019 Los Angeles Auto Show, Subaru unveiled the 2020 WRX and WRX STI Series.White.

At the show, Subaru confirmed that production would be limited to just 500 of each model. In addition to their hyper-limited-edition status, the Series.White editions of the WRX and WRX STI boast a few exciting, exclusive features. To begin with, they are the only cars in the Subaru lineup to sport Ceramic White exterior paint and eye-catching matte bronze wheels that measure 18 inches on the WRX, and 19 on the WRX STI.
To further enhance its status as the highest-performing WRX ever sold in the United States, the Series.White edition has been upgraded to include Brembo® brakes with red calipers and an all-new fine-tuned Bilstein sport suspension, Bilstein dampers, and rear double-wishbone struts. Inside, the sense of power is accentuated by a moonroof, eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, and sleek Ultrasuede trim.
The WRX STI retains many of these features, but ups the ante when it comes to performance. The 2.5-liter turbocharged Boxer® engine is capable of producing 310 horsepower, and works in tandem with brand new Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tires to provide unprecedented control on the road. Subaru’s engineers even went so far as to replace the spare tire with an efficient tire repair kit to reduce weight.
Already have a Subaru?: Keep it in tip-top shape
The WRX and WRX STI Series.White will start rolling out to dealerships in early 2020 and will cost $33,995 and $42,695, respectively.
