With dealer orders for the Colorado ZR2 Bison maxed out, customers now have only a limited amount of time to purchase the ZR2 Bison models currently on dealership lots

Time for you to make this powerful pickup yours is almost up

Last November, Chevrolet introduced the 2019 Colorado ZR2 Bison during an event in Arizona. Although just a handful of months have passed, the popularity of the custom midsize truck is quite evident.

After all, Chevrolet says that the Colorado ZR2 Bison is effectively sold out.

Behold, the Bison!: Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison ready to launch

The Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 is already the off-roading variation of Chevrolet’s midsize truck model. Yet, Chevrolet collaborated with outfitter American Expedition Vehicles to create an even tougher version of the Colorado ZR2.

The 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison possesses five skid plates comprised of Boron steel, which protect some of the Colorado’s most vulnerable areas, such as the engine oil pan and fuel tank, while it is off-road. The model also comes equipped with custom fog lights, a flow-through grille, and an available snorkel.

The 2019 Chevrolet Colorado ZR2 Bison is easily the Colorado’s most expensive model option, with an asking price of $48,045. Despite this lofty price tag, the Colorado ZR2 Bison is effectively “sold out,” as dealer orders for the vehicle have maxed out. Customers now only have a limited time until they are no longer able to purchase the Colorado ZR2 Bison.

This fact isn’t too surprising, seeing as how Chevrolet and AEV only made 2,000 units of the model. It also demonstrates the overall popularity of the Colorado ZR2.

Chevrolet estimates that 10 percent of all Colorado trucks sold bear the ZR2 badge. Seeing as how Chevrolet sold 134,842 Colorado trucks last year, that’s quite the impressive feat for a lineup-topping truck.

At the moment, Chevrolet has not announced any further collaboration with AEV. However, following the success of the Colorado ZR2 Bison, it seems likely that Chevrolet will introduce similar vehicles in the near future.
