2016 BMW M2 BadgeOne of the hottest cars we’ve talked about on The News Wheel this year is the BMW M2. It is surprisingly affordable, considering how much power and how many features it has, and car fans around the world are fighting to get their hands on one. Rumors swirling since the model’s early days about the M2 selling out only fanned the flames, making BMW fans act even more panicked than before. BMW is hoping to continue the M2 magic by offering the BMW M2 CS, which will basically be the M2 on steroids.

According to BMW Blog, the BMW M2 CS will be powered by S55 engine that is under the hood of great cars like the BMW M3 and M4 and would help the M2 achieve about 400 horsepower. That’s a pretty decent upgrade from the current 365 horsepower the current M2 achieves. It is also estimated that the CS, as a performance car, would drop some pounds to make it more precise than it already is.

Before you get too excited and start driving to a BMW dealership, the BMW M2 CS has not officially been revealed yet, so all of this is pure speculation. The only thing we know right now is that any M2 CS would be coming in 2018. That’s not the 2018 model year, which is scarily just around the corner, but the calendar year 2018 was a 2019 model year vehicle. We recommend you start saving your money now so that you can be first in line to order it before it sells out, like its predecessor.
