Last week, you may have seen our article on the Moghome, a $420,000 motorhome designed to go anywhere. Well, it’s just about to get one-upped.

This is the Patagonia. Unlike the Moghome, which is built upon the Unimog only, the Patagonia can be built upon the Unimog as well as a variety of other commercial chassis, including Kenworth, Freightliner, BAE, MAN, Mercedes, and International.

Built by Global Expedition Vehicles, the Patagonia can measure anywhere between 17.5 feet and 29 feet long, boasting a rear living area that sits on special mounts. That allows the truck’s frame to flex without discomforting occupants. And in proper motorhome fashion, GEV can even rig you up a cab-to-cabin entry, so you don’t have to leave the cockpit to get into the back.

There’s an external roll cage to protect the body in case you get a little too overzealous in your off-roading adventure, an auxiliary LED light bar and lamps to provide all the light you need after dark, and front and rear winches to help pull you out of tight spots — or help those who didn’t have the foresight to adventure in a Patagonia.

The Patagonia’s main perk over the Moghome certainly seems to be its customizability. For instance, you can outfit it with a toy hauler at the back that’s big enough for an ATV, and add an auxiliary fuel tank to keep your quad topped up.

You can install solar panels on the roof, throw in a diesel generator, and set up a heating system to keep the water hot and the cabin warm even when the engine isn’t running. It even gets luxurious: depending on your needs, budgets, and desired floorplan (gotta make room for the ATV, after all), you can choose between a wet or dry shower area and even upsize your bed up to king. Then again, with a price like that, luxury better be part of the deal.
