Toyota is quickly becoming one of the most winning brands in motorsport. Over the weekend the automaker captured several notable victories across various racing series.
To start with was its win at the 2019 6 Hours of Spa-Francorchamps in the World Endurance Championship, marking Fernando Alonso, Sébastian Buemi, and Kazuki Nakajima’s fourth endurance racing win of the 2018/19 super season.
In NASCAR, it was Martin Truex Jr who lifted the winning trophy after leading 132 of 400 laps at Dover International Speedway. He drove from the back of the field to secure his second win of the season and the 21st of his career.
“This race car was just incredible,” Truex Jr said about the Camry. “Thanks to everyone who makes this possible. I can’t believe it. Without Talladega, we would have had two in a row. It is special. I am really, really proud to drive these Toyotas. They are awesome and I am a lucky guy.”

Christopher Bell meanwhile earned yet another NASCAR Xfinity Series win at the wheel of his Toyota Supra, extended his lead in the championship, and Tanner Gray earned his first career-series victory at South Boston Speedway in the NASCAR K&N Pro Series East.
Toyota drivers also swept the top four finishing positions in the POWRi Lucas Oil Midget Series event at Lucas Oil Speedway, and took two top three positions in the ARCA Menards Series.
Antron Brown would have had the quickest pass of Sunday in the NHRA Top Fuel competition, but a patch of oil on the track made him lose traction and compromised his time. He was still able to go fast enough to advance to the next round at Atlanta Dragway, as did J.R. Todd in the Funny Car competition.
