The Jeep Renegade helped increase Jeep sales in the UK by 196%

Sometimes, brands will see a slight increase in sales month-to-month, but these increases aren’t typically something to write home to Mom about. That is, unless you happen to be the Jeep brand in the United Kingdom.

In a recent press release, the Jeep brand showcased an increase of 175% in September sales compared to last year’s sales for the same month. This increase helped the brand’s year-to-date numbers increase an astonishing 200%. Yeah, that’s right—200%. And here we were thinking that percentages couldn’t go higher than 100%.

The Jeep Renegade, one of the brand’s smallest vehicles, helped the sales significantly. In September 2015, the American carmaker sold 2,097 cars, which is a major increase from the 762 cars it sold in September 2014.

“The sales figures are fantastic news, not only for new Renegade, but for the Jeep brand as a whole,” said Damien Dally, head of the Jeep brand in the UK. “It is quite clear that more people are turning to Jeep for their next car, as we bring exciting new models to the UK.”

For the past year, Jeep has sold a total of 8,420 cars compared to the previous year’s 2,844. If this pattern continues, it’s possible the Jeep brand might become even more popular in the United Kingdom than it is in the United States.
