The National Corvette Museum has given us our first major sinkhole repair update, since work on filling the sinkhole began early last month. The video below is dated December 5th of this year and features Zach Massey, the project manager, explaining what has been done so far and what part it plays in the remaining work on the sinkhole.

In the video, Massey explains that the team has had to change its approach slightly. He goes on to describe how the team had to create a concrete mud mat to form a surface for the crew to work on. So before they could even begin to work on filling the sinkhole, they were sidetracked with another project—creating a safe platform from which to work on the initial project.
Work on the sinkhole is expected to be completed by July of next year. The cost for filling the sinkhole was estimated at $3.2 million. The Corvette Museum is remaining open during construction.
