Stephen Merchant Returns for More ATS Coupe Commercial
Funnyman Stephen Merchant is back at it, embodying the same awkward persona that he has donned over the last few months for Cadillac, in the latest 2015 Cadillac ATS Coupe commercials. These two are entitled “Nice Car” and “Spill,” and unlike the previous one, “Irresistible,” these give us a “behind-the-scenes” look, as if we’re seeing Merchant in between takes of filming a commercial.
Of course, Merchant is not as charming as he believes he is, which leads to some humorous lines from the comedian. Cadillac is definitely taking its advertising in the right direction, following the “Poolside” debacle. (Thanks a lot, Neal McDonough.) Hopefully, under the direction of Lowe and Partners (Cadillac has officially ditched its Rogue agency), the brand’s ads will continue to improve.

Stephen Merchant is strangely a good fit for the Cadillac ATS. His awkwardness is juxtaposed quite nicely with the sleek, cool, sexy appeal of the ATS. We hope he sticks around for more ads.
