Wheels Go Missing at Louisiana Chevy Dealership
Crooks made off with 124 wheels, amounting to a value of $120,000, last weekend at a Louisiana Chevy dealership.
Matt Bowers Chevrolet in Slidell experienced the robbery this past Saturday. According to surveillance cameras, it was a two-man job, as the two thieves removed tires from 31 vehicles and mounted them on a U-Haul truck.
Law enforcement believes the felons are from out of state, as similar crimes have occurred in other states, including Oklahoma and Texas.

The criminals came prepared, as they cut the locks to the outside gates, reworked the outdoor lighting system, and took down another camera.
They also selected vehicles that had bigger wheels due to their higher value, compared to smaller ones. 20-inch wheels and above were the target. The common victims of the crime were Chevy trucks, Blazers, and Malibus.

Matt Bowers has put out a $25,000 reward for anyone who has information, leading to the arrests of the crooks.
The only things left behind from the heist were a car jack and wooden blocks underneath the wheel-absent vehicles.
Slidell’s police department is working with other departments at hopes of finding leads to the suspects responsible for the theft. The city’s police chief vowed to travel out of state to bring the lawbreakers to justice.
No other car dealerships in the surrounding area have had any related thefts. You can expect they are on high alert after this tire raid.
