1964th 2015 Ford Mustang 50 Year to Be Auctioned in Las Vegas
Generally speaking, 0001 is the most coveted serial number for auto collectors and often winds up being the number of vehicles sold off to high-paying bidders at charity auctions. The Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition celebrates the half-centennial of the quintessential pony car by taking the 2015 Mustang GT and dropping in a bunch of unique features. As it honors the first Mustang, which released back on April 17, 1964, only 1,964 examples will be built. That last model will be guaranteed to the highest bidder at the annual collector car auction, being held in Las Vegas from September 25 to 27.
In addition, the winning bidder will receive a VIP package including airfare, accommodations, and tickets to the Ford EcoBoost 400 on November 16 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.
A portion of the proceeds from the sale of the 1964th 2015 Ford Mustang 50 Year Limited Edition will go to the Ford Heart & Vascular Institute.
