Refreshed 2019 Chevrolet Cruze: More Changes on the Way
A few months ago, Chevrolet announced a handful of changes for the refreshed 2019 Cruze. Now, even more details have emerged, giving us a more complete picture of the popular compact car’s new model year.
What we already knew
On the exterior, the 2019 Chevy Cruze will feature a redesigned front fascia with a more upscale look. Inside, the Cruze will come with the all-new Chevrolet Infotainment 3 system, along with remote start and automatic climate control for the LT and Premier trims. There will also be a new hatchback trim: the Cruze Hatch LS.
New details about the 2019 Chevy Cruze
One of the biggest changes for 2019 is now confirmed: the deletion of the Cruze’s six-speed manual transmission option. In other powertrain changes, the Cruze now includes the ability to override the engine start/stop system.
On the exterior, the 2019 Chevy Cruze will receive new LED taillamps. It will also get two new colors: Oakwood Metallic and Pacific Blue Metallic. The Cruze will lose two other colors: Arctic Blue Metallic and Crush. A few other exterior features will be deleted, including the Ground Effects Package and the power-adjustable heated outside mirrors with integrated turn signals.

Inside the 2019 Cruze, new standard features include two USB ports, an auxiliary jack, and a floor console with armrest. Deleted features include leather seating, ambient interior lighting, and dual rear reading lights. Rear carpeted floor mats will only be standard on the LT, Diesel, and Premier trims.
As part of a package available for the Premier trim, the 2019 Cruze will receive a pair of new safety features: Front Pedestrian Braking and Low Speed Forward Automatic Braking.
In package changes, the 2019 Cruze gains the LS Convenience Package, which includes the new remote starter, steering wheel-mounted controls, and cruise control. It loses the Enhanced Convenience Package, the Technology Package, the Sunroof Package, the Cruze Redline Edition, and the Sun and Sound with Navigation Package.
The 2019 Chevy Cruze is expected to go on sale this fall.
