2014 Hispanic Motor Press Awards Recognize 200C, Challenger SRT Hellcat
The 2014 Hispanic Motor Press Awards recognized two Chrysler Group models last month. The all-new 2015 Chrysler 200C was named the “Best Sedan” while the 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat took top honors as the “Best Sportscar.”
The 2015 Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat was one of two Chrysler Group models recognized at the 2014 Hispanic Motor Press Awards.
It is a big honor to be recognized with a Hispanic Motor Press Award, as this is the only award in the automotive industry that recognizes the best car values for customers from the Hispanic family. This, of course, is a large and important demographic in North America.
To determine which car in each category is the best value for Hispanic families, a group of judges examine a number of vehicle aspects. These include comfort, design, driver satisfaction, economy, environmental requirements, functionality, handling, performance, safety, and value. To be up for an award, a vehicle must be all-new and available in all 50 states in the US.
The 2015 Chrysler 200C was the other Chrysler Group vehicle recognized this year.
Jury director, Ricardo Rodriguez-Long, spoke of the 200C’s victory particularly: “Although there were many good entries in the sedan category, the new Chrysler 200 was the favorite among the judges. The clean lines of the exterior and well thought out interior are attractive and effective. The large and easy to use infotainment system we found better than the rest. Overall this car offers a well-rounded package that will suit the Hispanic family.”
