What’s New?

Exterior

The Cadillac Escalade ESV has an unmistakable exterior, with a dominant grille and an elongated, stronger body than its original nameplate. For your convenience, the Escalade ESV offers a hands-free liftgate for added convenience on the go. LED high-beam and low-beam headlamps as well as full LED taillamps improve visibility alongside Rainsense automatic windshield wipers and a rear intermittent wiper for poor weather conditions.

The 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV is available in eight exterior colors: Dark Granite Metallic, Radiant Silver Metallic, Black Raven, Bronze Dune Metallic, Dark Adriatic Blue Metallic, Crystal White Tricoat, Red Passion Tintcoat, and Satin Steel Metallic.

Performance

The new Cadillac Escalade ESV is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 engine. The V8 is paired to a 10-speed automatic transmission and four-wheel drive, producing 420 horsepower and 460 lb-ft of torque. This powertrain is standard across all four trim levels of the Escalade ESV.

Efficiency

Efficiency isn’t the Escalade ESV’s strong suit, but as a three-row SUV, that probably doesn’t surprise you. The 2018 model earns an estimated 14 mpg in the city, 23 mpg on the highway, and 21 mpg combined.

Interior

All Cadillac models radiate luxury, and the Escalade ESV stands out in its segment. Materials and comfort are at the forefront, with leather seats, heated and cooled front seats, a heated steering wheel, and heated second-row seats. There’s no need to upgrade to higher trim levels for better materials; these are standard across all trim levels. Advanced audio and entertainment come standard, too, with a 16-speaker Bose Centerpoint Surround Sound system and OnStar  4G LTE with a built-in Wi-Fi hotspot. However, if you’d like even more entertainment, the Platinum offers a rear-seat entertainment system with an in-dash DVD player with dual DVD screens.

The 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV is available in two interior colors: Jet Black and Maple Sugar.

Safety

With the whole family in tow, safety is an important feature in the 2018 Cadillac Escalade ESV. Features like a Surround Vision Camera and Teen Driver mode come standard on the Escalade ESV, but there are several driver-assist options available to you. For example, the Premium Luxury comes with a Driver Assist Package. This package includes three primary features: Adaptive Cruise Control, automatically adjusting your speed on the highway as needed; Forward/Reverse Automatic Braking; and Automatic Safety Belt Tightening. Lower trim levels, starting with the Luxury, offer a Driver Awareness Package with Forward Collision Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and many more.
