2014 Kia Rio Overview
2014 Kia Rio Exterior
A spunky, snub nosed front end and stocky stance create a thoroughly European feel to the 2014 Rio’s exterior, whether it’s the sedan body style or the hatchback. Highly sculpted side panels add to the foreign feel, while also adding a touch of the unique and a lot of aerodynamics to the subcompact car.
2014 Kia Rio Performance
A 1.6-liter inline direct-injection four-cylinder takes the spunk of the exterior and puts it directly under the hood. With 138 horsepower and 123 lb-ft of torque, there’s no denying that the 2014 Rio is a fun ride. The base LX model comes standard with a six-speed manual with an optional six-speed automatic (standard on the EX and SX models).
2014 Kia Rio Efficiency
EPA-estimated fuel efficiency for the 2014 Kia Rio comes in at 31 mpg combined.
2014 Kia Rio Interior
An abundant amount of space can’t be expected in any subcompact car, and the Kia Rio is no exception. What it lacks in space though, the Rio makes up for in style with quality materials and quality trim coming together to create an overall cheerful cabin. The simple dash and center stack setup make it easy for drivers to use, while the steering wheel controls make sure you can still use the UVO Infotainment system without taking your hands off the wheel.
2014 Kia Rio Safety
In government crash testing, the 2014 Kia Rio was awarded four out of five possible stars for overall crash-worthiness. Antilock brakes, stability control, and hill-start assist, along with dual front, side, and curtain airbags, are all standard safety features. The rearview camera is an optional safety feature.
