Lincoln Earns Spot on J.D. Power 2014 Customer Champions List
J.D. Power’s annual Customer Champions list celebrates brands across a number of industries that work tirelessly to exceed customer expectations and go out of their way not only to keep their current clientele happy, but to also lure in new customers through word of mouth and a sterling track record. The Lincoln Motor Company was among the fifty companies listed on the 2014 Customer Champions list, reaffirming their drive to keep customers coming back.
“J.D. Power surveys hundreds of thousands of customers every year, and what we’ve found is that when consumers purchase different products and services, they don’t just compare their experiences within the same industry, they compare across industries,” said Finbarr O’Neill, president of J.D. Power, in the company’s statement. “The 50 companies we’ve recognized as Customer Champions demonstrate the highest levels of service excellence, not just compared with their direct competitors, but also across all facets of the customer experience.”
Lincoln was one of only four automotive brands represented on the 2014 Customer Champions list, beating out even its parent company Ford for honors. According to Marketing Daily, the automotive results are culled from J.D. Power’s 2013 research on sales and service satisfaction.
According to Dave Sargent, J.D. Power’s VP of vehicle research, global automotive operations, an automotive brand must be within the top 20 percent of the 32 global brands in order to qualify for the list.
“And even within that you have to be high enough above a threshold that separates the top 20 percent from the rest. And we have a hard cap in terms of the number of brands in any one industry.”
Since Lincoln made the cut in the 2014 Customer Champions list, we want to hear from any current and former Lincoln drivers. What does the brand do better than anyone else, and what brings you back to Lincoln when it’s time to purchase a new car?
