2014 Chevrolet SS Packs a Punch with More Than 400 HP
For the first time in over 17 years, Chevrolet is releasing a full-sized rear-wheel-drive performance sedan: the 2014 Chevrolet SS!
The SS, which stands for Super Sport, is powered by a 415-horspower V8 engine that is rated at 415 lb-ft of torque. Paired with a six-speed automatic transmission with steering-wheel-mounted paddle shifters, the SS vaults 0-60 in five seconds!
Not only does the SS have a power-hungry engine, it is packed with high-tech features, including HID headlamps, LED daytime running lamps, automatic parking assist, heated and cooled front seats, Bose audio, a backup camera, heads-up display, a MyLink infotainment system with navigation, and blind spot and lane alerts. In fact, the SS is so well-equipped there are only two available options: a sunroof for $900 and a full-size spare tire for $500.
