[Photos] 2020 Lincoln Corsair ‘Cursus’ Out the Competition
The all-new 2020 Lincoln Corsair made its world debut at the 2019 New York International Auto Show this week, completing Lincoln’s quest to have one of the most modern and refined luxury SUV lineups available today.
“Entering the fastest-growing luxury segment, the all-new Corsair is artistically crafted, expertly designed, and infused with our unwavering attention and commitment to detail; it’s unapologetically Lincoln,” said Joy Falotico, president, The Lincoln Motor Company. “Corsair’s addition to the portfolio means Lincoln now has a full family of SUVs to exceed the needs of our luxury clients.”

Joining the Navigator, Nautilus, and upcoming Aviator (and, sure, hey, the MKT, but we’re not really counting that one), the Corsair boasts elements of its kin’s Quiet Flight DNA, from its aesthetic presentation down to its travel-inspired name — Corsair, Lincoln would have you know, comes from the Latin word “cursus,” which means journey.

Perhaps the most surprising aspect of the Lincoln Corsair is the fact that there is no announced hybrid or plug-in hybrid option as yet. Lincoln has confirmed a standard 2.0-liter engine with a targeted output of 250 horsepower and 275 lb-ft of torque and an available 280-horsepower 2.3-liter engine. The latter will only be offered with Lincoln’s intelligent all-wheel-drive system.
The Corsair also adds several attractive features consistent with Lincoln’s other SUVs, including standard Lincoln Co-Pilot360 and Phone As A Key technology, symphonic chimes recorded by the Detroit Symphony Orchestra in place of standard alert sounds, available Head-Up Display, and a specifically tuned 15-speaker Revel premium audio system.
New for the Lincoln Corsair are three interior colorways: Beyond Blue, Cashew, and Medium Slate. Lincoln did not specify whether the Corsair will receive a Black Label trim, but it’s almost a certainty.
