While the latter only comes with a five-speed automatic, the former comes with a five-speed auto or a five-speed manual.

Both engines in the 2013 Honda Civic Coupe offer excellent fuel economy, The 1.8-liter gets 32 mpg combined (28 mpg city/39 mpg highway) with the manual transmission, 28/36/28 with the automatic, and 29/41/33 with the special HF trim that maximizes mileage by adding low-rolling-resistance tires and aerodynamic body pieces. The 2.4-liter gets 22/31/25.
