2015 Ford F-150 MSRP is $26,615, Up $395
This morning, 2015 Ford F-150 MSRP figures found their way onto the internet as dealers became able to place their orders ahead of the late-fall/winter launch. This at long last resolves the question of how much more drivers would be expected to pay for the new pickup and its more costly, weight-saving aluminum construction. The answer, as it turns out, is anywhere between $395 and $3,515.
The models and their starting prices are as follows:
- XL – $26,615 (up $395) in standard regular cab, RWD, 6.5” bed configuration
- XLT – $31,890 (up $395) in standard regular cab, RWD, 6.5” bed configuration; adds BoxLink system
- Lariat – $39,880 (up $895) in standard extended cab, RWD, 6.5” bed configuration; adds 8” LCD instrument cluster screen, LED bed lighting, heated/cooled seats, power folding mirrors, rear-view camera
- King Ranch – $49,460 (up $3,515) in standard crew cab, RWD, 5.5” bed configuration; adds LED headlights and taillights, mirror spotlights, push-button start, BLIS, increased LED bed lighting
- Platinum – $52,155 (up $3,055) in standard crew cab, RWD, 5.5” bed configuration; adds inflatable rear seat belt, wood interior accents, heated rear seats and steering wheel, massaging front seats
Not included in those prices is a $1,195 destination and delivery fee, which remains unchanged from 2014 models.
Upgrading from the standard 3.5-liter V6 to the 3.5-liter EcoBoost engine will cost $1,995 extra, which is $100 less than what it cost to upgrade to the EcoBoost in the 2014 model. 4×4, extended cab, and 4WD options will all cost extra.
Ford tells USA Today that around 85 percent of all F-150 sales are culled from the XL, XLT, and Lariat trims, adding that the XLT is the best-seller of the group. Doug Scott, Ford truck group marketing manager, says that trends hold that the King Ranch and Premium trims will sell well among those looking for higher-end trucks and the latest technological advances.
