Marvel at the 2015 F-150’s Seamless Sliding Rear Window
In the effort to tantalize you with every last detail concerning their latest models, Ford has been putting some unusual aspects of both the 2015 Mustang and 2015 F-150 in the spotlight. Yesterday, Ford told us a bit about the three available audio systems for the Mustang and how the sixth-gen pony car’s design makes it one of the best-sounding experiences one can have on the road. Today, they’d like to bring your attention to the seamless sliding rear window that will be available on the 2015 F-150. Seriously, they’re going to be telling us about how great the windshield wipers are any day now.
“Delivering the latest in innovation and technology to our customer is a top priority for Ford,” said Noah Mass, Ford body mechanisms manager. “The seamless sliding rear window is another great example of the intricate detail that goes into producing the next-generation F-150, setting it apart from any pickup on the market today.”
Unlike most sliding rear windows, which use three pieces of glass, Ford’s seamless sliding rear window will only utilizes two pieces of glass. This creates a streamlined look and will make the process of defrosting easier in the winter months ahead. Yeah, we hate that they had to remind us that winter is on the way, too.

Other than that, Ford’s seamless sliding rear window is just that: a seamless sliding rear window. There’s plenty enough to be excited about when it comes to the 2015 F-150, but getting amped up about the rear window seems a bit much (possible pun detected, though not intended).
We get it, guys: everything about the F-150 is awesome. If you really want to prove it, you’re more than welcome to just launch them a couple months early and let the world be the judge.
