Ram Truck Brand is putting out two new buzz models for the Ram 1500 Sport trim: the Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport and the Ram 1500 Black Sport. The point of a buzz model is that no more than 1,000 of each will hit production lines.

These limited-edition trucks are, of course, offered only on the Sport trim of the 2015 Ram 1500, meaning they’ll get the total Sport treatment. That includes a HEMI V8 that pumps out a juicy 395 horsepower, paired with an eight-speed TorqueFlite transmission. The buzz models also get 20-inch wheels, dual exhausts, a 3.92 gear set, and a vented sport hood. Both the Ignition Orange and Black Sport are offered in the crew cab configuration, either as with 4×2 or 4×4 capabilities.

The Ram 1500 Ignition Orange Sport buzz model gets body color accent stitching throughout the cabin, an orange-lover’s paradise. The interior is also marked by Sport embroidery on the seat backs, colored accent sport mesh on the seat inserts, and accent color Ram’s heads on the headrests. According to Ram, the bright orange paint can be “appreciated up close and at 10,000 feet.” Yeah, no kidding; talk about bright.

The Ram 1500 Black Sport buzz model, on the other hand, is much less loud. It gets a nearly all black interior that features leather and Light Black chrome accents throughout. The Black trim, as well as the Ignition Orange, gets an 8.4AN Uconnect system, which features navigation and a standard rearview camera.

Ram will open up orders this week, and production will begin in April. Remember to show an interest immediately, as only 1,000 of each will be manufactured.

The special edition models will retail at $1,595 above normal pricing for the Ram 1500 models onto which the packages are built.
