Pizzaman Dan’s C3 Corvette Wows at Pizza Expo
They say that pizza is like sex: even when it’s bad, it’s still pretty good. A similar principle applies to the Corvette: even when it’s got an ugly paint job, it’s still a Corvette.
Don’t worry, though, that’s not actually a paint job—those are pepperoni decals covering this delicious-looking C3 Corvette. The car was decorated by “Pizzaman Dan,” who owns a chain of pizzerias in Ventura County, California.
The rather unique vehicle was a big hit at the 31st annual International Pizza Expo at the Las Vegas Convention Center, which (we assume) is like the Detroit Auto Show of pizza. Over 10,000 pizza enthusiasts, pizza buyers, pizzeria owners, and other pizza aficionados attended the event.
According to the Los Angeles Times, other highlights of the Pizza Expo included a delectable (and expensive) sounding whiskey salami pizza topping, ice cream cone-shaped pizza dough, spicy sriracha sausage, and pizza panko (bread crumbs used to create a crisp crust).
This Pizza Expo sounds like a pretty amazing event to cover as a reporter, and it’s making everyone here at the office wonder why we chose to enter the field of automotive journalism and not the field of pizza journalism.
