Mercedes-Benz Gets Naming Rights to Atlanta Stadium for Falcons, United, and More
Late last month, Mercedes-Benz announced that it had secured the naming rights to a brand new venue in Atlanta, where the luxury automotive brand is now headquartered as of July of this year. The agreement will put Mercedes’ name on the stadium (Mercedes-Benz Stadium) through 2042. On top of naming rights, Mercedes will also share in some additional “partnership benefits.”

The Mercedes-Benz Stadium will be multipurpose, serving as the home to the Atlanta Falcons National Football League team and the Major League Soccer’s Atlanta United team. The stadium will also play host to other major sports and entertainment events, including the 2020 NCAA Men’s Final Four.
“Mercedes-Benz fits all of the criteria we set out in finding a naming rights partner,” remarked Arthur Blank, who owns the Atlanta Falcons and Atlanta United, at a press conference. “Their name and reputation fit the iconic image of the building; they are committed to excellence in customer service and experience; their values mesh with those of the Falcons, Atlanta United and the rest of our businesses; and they are a company that embraces the communities in which they do business.”
Mercedes-Benz Stadium is currently under construction but is expected to be completed in 2017. The stadium will be located in downtown Atlanta, in the tourist and entertainment district.
