GM Hits Record Marks for November Sales in China
General Motors and its joint ventures in China put forth its best November ever last month, growing sales 14% year-over-year with a total of 346,671 vehicles delivered. SUV sales in particular drove this growth, with sales skyrocketing 231% year-over-year thanks to the Buick Envision and Baojun 560.

“The market has been improving in the past two months,” said GM Executive Vice President and GM China President Matt Tsien. “We are well positioned to achieve a strong finish to the year backed by newly launched models, including the Chevrolet LOVA RV, Buick Verano Hatchback, and Buick Verano GS.”
Buick sales were up 45% at a total of 107,925 units sold, an all-time November record. Verano sales were up 60% month-over-month, and the Excelle GT and Envision continued to carry their share of the load.
Cadillac sales were also an all-time November record at 7,935 units, up 57%. Cadillac ATS-L sales were up 182% thanks to the addition of the 28T Fashion Edition late in the month.
Baojun sales were also good for a November record with 58,051 units sold, up 110%. Chevy sales and Wuling sales both declined double digits, totaling 51,192 units and 121,451 units, respectively.
To date, GM and its joint ventures have amassed a total of 3,166,791 retail sales in China, up 4.1% year-over-year.
