Bakersfield to Hold the 22nd Annual Super Cruise Car Show on Saturday, March 3rd
What better way to spend your Saturday than by feeding your passion for cars while also contributing to a deserving local charity? The 22nd Annual Super Cruise Car Show will be held at the Kern County Fairgrounds this Saturday on March 3rd. This event is sponsored by Bakersfield Car Club Council (BCCC) and Society for Disabled Children of Kern County. All proceeds from the event go directly toward the later organization.
So far, the event has garnered more than $360K for the organization, over the past 21 years that the show has been held. Ever since 2012, each year’s event has brought in a minimum of $20K. Bette Addington, who handles communications for BCCC, articulated that the charity puts most of the show’s profits toward Camp Blue Jay, a one-week summer camp experience held for disabled children residing in the area. As Addington expressed, “It not only gives these kids a camping experience they will never forget but it gives their parents a week break.”
The event itself boasts a variety of vehicles on display. Members of BCCC will be on hand to meet with potential new members and to share their passion for cars. Vendors, live music, food, and a Super Raffle flesh out the schedule for the event.
If you’re interested in attending, simply pay the $35 fee when you arrive, which will cover admission for both you and your passengers and also cover the fee for participating in the Fred Hall sports show. Just make sure to fill out an entry form which is available on the event’s website here.
