Bizarre Ford Focus-Honda Goldwing Trike Sells for $9,100
What do you get when you cross a porcupine with a gopher?
A tunnel with leaks!
What do you get when you cross a Focus with a Goldwing?
This monstrosity:
This Ford Focus–Honda Goldwing hybrid (Fonda Goldus? Hord Fowing?) features the drivetrain of a 2011 Ford Focus mated to the front frame and forks of a 1986 Honda Goldwing motorcycle. No, we don’t know why, either.
This unique vehicle was created by eBay seller geek_jon, and apparently purchased by some kindred spirit with a shared interest in ridiculous trikes for $9,100. That seems like a lot of money, but then again, this is, without a doubt, a very rare piece (and hopefully it will stay that way).
This thing was actually featured on Jalopnik last week, so perhaps the media exposure helped this very niche item find a good home.
The bidding may have ended for this 2011 Custom Sport Touring Trike, but that doesn’t mean you can’t still enjoy the photos:
Good Lord, that is hideous.
Still, we defy you to find a trike with more trunk space:
