Buick Unleashes All of the Photos of the 2016 Envision for Your Consumption
Buick confirmed the American release of the China-imported Envision crossover last month, and today, fresh off of revealing its white-hot Avista Concept, it’s put another stamp on that confirmation by revealing the Envision’s many highlights and a Q2 2016 release date.
“The all-new Buick Envision is a modern, confident and responsive luxury compact crossover that combines the brand’s core characteristics with great performance features like our HiPer strut suspension,” said Duncan Aldred, vice president of Buick. “That dynamic experience behind the wheel is complemented by Buick’s signature luxury, whisper-quiet cabin and connectivity features to benefit drivers and passengers alike.”
Of particular note with the Envision is its 2.0-liter turbocharged engine, standard with stop/start technology, as well as the introduction of both HiPer Strut front suspension and Twin Clutch All-Wheel Drive. Other prominent features include LED daytime running lamps, LED rear accent lights, active grille shutters, aluminum hood, heated seats and steering wheel, programmable power liftgate with hands-free functionality, and passive entry with push-button start and standard remote start. The coolest feature, perhaps, is a dual-wing center armrest.
Standard safety features will include rearview camera, Safety Alert Seat, Front Park Assist, Lane Change Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Following Distance Indicator, and Stabilitrak. Full Speed Range Adaptive Cruise Control, Surround Vision, Automatic Park Assist, and Collision Mitigation Braking are optional.
