Today Chevrolet India announced the opening of a new Technical Assistance Center (TAC) at Talegaon, a historic city in the Indian state of Maharashtra.

This marks the first time that GM has created dedicated TAC function in India. The center will help Chevy dealers across the country resolve customer product concerns more quickly and efficiently.

Each dealership will now also have a Technical Expert, or Tech-E, who will act as a Single Point of Contact and help make sure that any customer concern is resolved at the dealership. The TAC helpdesk, meanwhile, will serve as a remote assistance center, supported in the field by Chevrolet Field Service Engineers who are able to provide on-site support to all dealers.

At the moment, a total of 10 people are dedicated to this operation.

“Keeping customers at the center is one of the key values at Chevrolet,” said Markus Sternberg, GM India’s Vice President of Aftersales. “In line with this we have plans to further enhance our network and customer service experience. The launch of the Technical Assistance Centre is another step in this direction. We believe that the center will assist all Chevrolet dealers across India to provide fast and effective support to their customers when addressing any product concern.”

The TAC aims to provide Chevrolet’s channel partners with the best technical support available, to make sure any product concern can be resolved at the Chevrolet dealerships.

Chevrolet India says that it is continuing to ensure the best possible service for its dealers and channel partners. The bowtie brand jumped 64 index points in this year’s Power Dealer Satisfaction Survey, and earned the title of most improved nameplate in this year’s study for dealer satisfaction.
