Chevrolet Military Discount

In honor of May’s National Military Appreciation Month, Chevrolet announced today that it will be expanding its military discount program from today until May 31, 2016.

The Chevy military discount program is usually available to US military veterans within one year of separation, in addition to active-duty personnel, reservists, retirees, and their spouses. For the next two months, the program is expanding to include all veterans—regardless of their separation date—as well as their spouses.

“These brave men and women have done so much for our country,” said GM sales and service executive Steve Hill. “Making sure all veterans can take advantage of our military discount to celebrate Military Appreciation Month is one small way we can express our gratitude.”

The Chevy military discount applies to popular models like the 2016 Cruze and Silverado, and can also be combined with other discounts and incentives, meaning veterans and their spouses could potentially save thousands of dollars on a new vehicle. Chevrolet is also showing its support for the military in April by sponsoring the USX team, which is attempting to put the first active-duty soldiers and first combat-wounded US veteran on top of Mt. Everest.

The USX Veteran Everest Expedition is being chronicled on social media by Chevrolet’s Facebook and Twitter, and through YouTube videos:

“We sincerely appreciate the support of Chevrolet as we take on this bold challenge,” said USX co-founder, Army Capt. Matt Hickey. “Although our goal is big, so are the needs of today’s veterans, and our mission and Chevrolet’s support inspires others to get involved.”
