Until now, the exterior and interior dimensions and capacity specs for the 2019 Blazer remained a secret. Per GM Authority, Chevy sources have finally confirmed these figures. That’s good news for those of us who have been holding our breath in anticipation of these details.

Exterior dimensions

The exterior dimensions suit the Blazer’s mid-size crossover utility vehicle category, making it the brand’s second largest CUV that places between the Equinox and Traverse. Wheelbase measures 112.7 inches while the length extends 191.4 inches. The model boasts a height of 67 inches and width of 76.7 inches (measured without mirrors). It also has a 7.4-inch ground clearance.

Interior dimensions

The Blazer’s family-friendly interior provides sufficient space for passengers to stretch out, while still adhering to the CUV class’s reputation for compactness. The overall passenger volume is 107.8 cubic feet. Front passengers can enjoy 39.8 inches of headroom with the sunroof, while back passengers can enjoy 38.6 inches of headroom. In addition, there is 59.1 inches of shoulder room, 55.6 inches of hip room, and 41 inches of legroom in the front. Those riding in the back get slightly less room — 58.6 inches of shoulder room, 54.2 inches of hip room, and 39.6 inches of legroom. Chevy has also incorporated a cargo volume of 64.2 cubic feet behind the first-row seats and 30.5 cubic feet behind the second-row seats, to accommodate different storage preferences.

Finally, fuel capacity for FWD models is 19.4 gallons, while AWD models offer a 21.7-gallon capacity. This enables the Blazer to achieve an EPA-estimated 27 miles per gallon on the highway, when equipped with the 2.5-liter engine.
