In case you missed it, Fiat Chrysler made some big announcements on Tuesday. Here’s a brief overview:
- Chrysler will get a plug-in Town & Country, 100 compact, and an unnamed crossover
- Dodge will get a Dart SRT and Journey SRT as it takes over the SRT brand, but will lose the Grand Caravan
- Jeep will revive the Grand Wagoneer while doing away with the Compass and Patriot and updating the Wrangler
- The 2017 Ram 1500 may benefit from an aluminum body
These big changes have understandably called for some Chrysler Group leadership changes. For starters, Joe Veltri will assume responsibility for Investor Relations, staring on July 1st. Until a replacement is named for his current position, he will continue as head of NAFTA Product Planning.
Previous head of Investor Relations for Fiat S.p.A., Marco Auriemma, has taken over Alfa Romeo Finance, effective immediately.

Most notably, Tim Kuniskis will remain President and CEO of the Dodge Brand and head of the Company’s Fleet Operations, even as Dodge takes responsibility of the SRT family of vehicles.
Ralph Gilles, who was the President and CEO of the SRT Brand, will continue as the Senior Vice President of Product Design and President and CEO of Motorsports. This move is effective immediately.
“I want to thank Ralph for his dedication to the SRT brand,” said Sergio Marchionne, Chairman and CEO, Chrysler Group LLC. “Under Ralph’s leadership, the SRT brand expanded its vehicle lineup to include more highly customized models and received numerous automotive awards and distinctions.”
