Chrysler Group September 2014 Sales Report: Best September Since ‘05
According to the Chrysler Group September 2014 sales report, the American automaker just celebrated its best September since 2005, with sales up 19% over September of 2013. (Chrysler Group moved 169,890 units in September of this year, compared to 143,017 units in September of last year.) This marks the 54th consecutive month of sales gains for company.
Specifically, Chrysler, Jeep, Ram Truck, and Fiat all posted year-over-year sales gains. Unsurprisingly, the Jeep brand saw the largest sales increase, up 47% over last year and marking Jeep’s best ever September.
Six Chrysler Group vehicles managed their best Septembers ever on the market. Among the record-breakers were the Chrysler 200, Jeep Compass, Jeep Patriot, Jeep Wrangler, and Ram pickup.
“Continued consumer demand for our new Chrysler 200 mid-size sedan, our Jeep models, and the Ram pickup truck helped Chrysler Group achieve a 19 percent sales increase in September and our 54th-consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth,” Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales, said in a brief summary. “Chrysler Group sales continue to demonstrate strength as we recorded our seventh month of double-digit growth this year.”
