Chrysler Group’s July 2014 Sales Mark 20 Percent Increase
Chrysler Group’s July 2014 sales report was posted today, announcing a 20 percent increase over July of 2013, with a total of 167,667 units moved. This marks the best July for the company since 2005 and the 52nd consecutive month of year-over-year sales gains.
Jeep, Dodge, Ram, Fiat, and even Chrysler, which had been struggling in recent months, all posted sales gains over last July. Specifically, Jeep saw a 41 percent increase, marking its best July sales ever.
The Jeep Wrangler and Compass; Dodge Dart, Challenger, and Journey; and Ram Cargo Van all set their best July sales records to date, while the Fiat 500L set a new all-time monthly sales record.
“Chrysler Group had a solid July as each brand recorded sales gains on our way to a 20 percent year-over-year increase, our strongest July sales in nine years,” said Reid Bigland, Head of U.S. Sales. “Sales of the all-new Chrysler 200 mid-size sedan continued to increase while our Jeep and Ram Truck brands each turned in double-digit sales gains, helping to lead Chrysler Group to its 52nd-consecutive month of year-over-year sales growth.”
