Chrysler Unleashes Satin Vapor Edition 300, Challenger, and Charger
At the 2014 Chicago Auto Show last week, the Chrysler Group and their in-house performance brand, SRT, rolled out the all-new Satin Vapor Editions of three of their more popular models—the Chrysler 300 SRT, Dodge Challenger SRT, and Dodge Charger SRT.
“We’re responding to the diversifying tastes of our performance enthusiast customers by expanding our product lineup to offer more custom models straight from the factory,” said Ralph Gilles, President and CEO of SRT Brand and Motorsports, Chrysler Group LLC, in a press release. “Building on our core vehicle strategy, the Satin Vapor Edition models add some swagger with new, brand-exclusive finishes and content that augment the value proposition of our popular ‘Core’ price classes.”
The Satin Vapor Edition Chrysler 300 SRT, Challenger SRT, and Charger SRT will all feature 20”x9” forged-aluminum split five-spoke wheels with a Black Satin Vapor Chome finish and Satin Black mirrors. The 300 SRT and Charger SRT will each get Satin Black spoiler and roof, the Challenger SRT will have a Satin Black fuel door, and the Charger SRT will get a Satin Black Super Bee tail graphic and roof.
Each will wear a custom grey badge indicating the power of the HEMI® engine beneath the hood. Despite each model being powered by the same 6.4-liter HEMI V8, the Satin Vapor Edition Chrysler 300 SRT will get a 6.4-liter HEMI badge, while the Challenger and Charger will each get a 392 HEMI badge (to indicate 392 cubic inches, or 6.4-liter).
All three models will also carry a number of inserts and accents to carry the Satin Vapor theme over into the interior. The Satin Vapor Edition package will carry an additional cost of $2,300, $2,330, and $1,700 for the Chrysler 300 SRT, Challenger SRT, and Charger SRT respectively. All Satin Vapor Edition vehicles are expected to be unleashed sometime in the spring.
