Each year after the MLB All-Star Game, the Most Valuable Player is announced. As part of winning the prestigious title and a cool translucent bat trophy, the MVP typically gets to choose between owning one of two Chevrolet vehicles. Last year, Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman took home a new Chevy Camaro SS Coupe over the Colorado ZR2. However, the decision was a little harder to make this year, as Cleveland Indians pitcher Shane Bieber had to choose between two Chevy trucks.

Bieber had to choose between a red 2019 Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss and a white 2020 Silverado HD High Country. Both trucks have hefty price tags, with the Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss sitting at an MSRP of $50,195 and the Silverado HD High Country coming in at $62,695. They both offer incredible capability and power, too.

What did Bieber choose as his new ride? The Cleveland star said, “I think I’m going to go with Big Red here,” indicating the 2019 Silverado 1500. While this decision might be surprising given the Silverado HD High Country’s increased power and premium amenities, it’s possible Bieber might’ve just liked the color of the truck he chose. He also could have opted for the Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss because of its more athletic ability to go off-road instead of the pure power of towing and hauling from the HD. We may not know his reasoning, but by the look of his smile, he definitely likes his choice.
