Ford Mondeo ST-Line Revealed at Goodwood Festival of Speed
Ford has announced that it is adding the Ford Mondeo to its recently-unveiled ST-Line lineup. The Ford Mondeo ST-Line made its world premiere last month at the 2016 Goodwood Festival of Speed, joining the Fiesta ST-Line and Focus ST-Line that were on display.
“The new Mondeo ST-Line is our sportiest Mondeo since we introduced the Mondeo ST220 model in 2002,” said Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales, and Service, Ford of Europe. “Mondeo ST-Line adds another dimension to the broad Mondeo line-up that offers options from the fuel-efficient Mondeo ECOnetic and Mondeo Hybrid models, to the exclusive and upscale Mondeo Vignale.”

As with the Fiesta ST-Line and Focus ST-Line, the Ford Mondeo ST-Line gets Ford Performance-inspired styling, which includes honeycomb grille design, front bumper lip spoiler, sculpted side-skirts, sports rear bumper with high-glass black diffuser-style insert, black beltline, sport seating in cloth or leather, and choice of 18- or 19-inch alloy wheels. To emphasize its sportiness, the Mondeo ST-Line will also be lowered by 10 mm.
In addition, the Mondeo ST-Line gets available performance upgrades in the form of wheel-mounted paddle shifters for models equipped with the PowerShift automatic and Ford Intelligent All Wheel Drive as an option for the 2.0-liter TDCi diesel with either 150 PS and the six-speed manual or 180 PS and the PowerShift.
There are a total of four engine options for the Mondeo ST-Line and numerous available variations in terms of output and transmission. Options include the 160 PS 1.5-liter EcoBoost with either the six-speed manual or six-speed automatic; 2.0-liter EcoBoost, available with outputs of 203 PS and 240 PS and the six-speed automatic transmission; the 2.0-liter TDCi diesel, which has outputs of 150 PS and 180 PS and can be mated to the six-speed manual or six-speed PowerShift automatic; and the 210 PS Bi-turbo TDCi with six-speed PowerShift automatic.
The Mondeo ST-Line will be offered in both four- and five-door body styles and as a wagon.
