Ford of Europe is reporting sales of 126,800 vehicles across its 20 key markets in June, bringing its first-half total to 668,800 vehicles sold. Ford’s sales growth for the month was 15.8%, and its growth through the first half is 10.5%, which compares favorably to the respective industry averages of 15.1% and 8.6%.
Through June, Ford controls an 8.1% market share in Europe, thanks to strong sales both at retail and commercial levels.
“We delivered a strong first half of 2015 and expect to continue our momentum with a host of new vehicles—including S-MAX, Galaxy, C-MAX, Mondeo Vignale, and Mustang—reaching dealerships this summer,” said Roelant de Waard, vice president, Marketing, Sales and Service, Ford of Europe. “This historic product push is well timed as we have started opening a network of flagship FordStores in cities across Europe, offering a truly modern and world class experience for customers.”
Ford has opened 100 FordStores throughout Europe thus far and plans to open another 100 locations by the end of 2015. Plans call for the total number of FordStores in Europe to eventually reach 500.
Ford has already sold 6,700 Mustangs in Europe after putting it on sale on the continent for the first time ever earlier this year. Other standouts from Ford’s lineup include the Mondeo (up 55% in June), C-MAX (up 42% in June), and Fiesta (up 24% in June).
