Ford Sales in China Nearing One Million After Strong November Gains
Ford’s sales in China are closing in on the 1 million-unit mark after November, in which Ford sold a total of 106,283 vehicles, up 9% year-over-year. Ford’s current total sales in China stand at 990,356 vehicles delivered.
“We are pleased that more and more customers are relying on Ford to provide them with vehicles they both want and value,” said John Lawler, chairman and CEO of Ford Motor China. “We remain committed to offering a full range of high-quality, safe, smart and fuel-efficient vehicles in China.”
Changan Ford Automobile sales totaled 85,546 vehicles last month, up 22% from the year prior. To date, Ford’s passenger vehicle joint venture has accumulated a total of 739,465 vehicle sales, up 3% from the total through November 2014. Among CAF’s highest selling vehicles was the Mondeo, which increased sales by 13% to a total of 12,431 units. Kuga and Edge sales also eclipsed the 10,000-unit mark.
Jiangling Motors Corporation sold a total of 20,608 units in November, down 20% from the year prior. Through 11 months, JMC sales are down 5% at a total of 226,968 units.
