The Super Bowl is one of the country’s biggest stages for television advertising as well as football, and Hyundai will once again play a leading role there.
Hyundai, the official car and SUV of the NFL, will air two commercials for the 2019 Super Bowl, which will be held Feb. 3 in Atlanta and broadcast on CBS.
The first ad is a 30-second spot that will run during the pregame show. The second is a 60-second piece that will air during the game’s first quarter. Both are being developed by Hyundai’s ad agency, INNOCEAN Worldwide.

“After more than a decade of Super Bowl experience and well-regarded creative executions, we are excited to return to the Big Game with fresh, new content that uses the successful formula we’ve refined over the years,” said Hyundai Motor America CMO Dean Evans. “The Super Bowl is America’s largest stage that allows us to entertain a massive audience while sharing our latest brand and product messages.”
With spots placed in 11 of the past 12 Super Bowls, Hyundai can point to a strong legacy of successful ads for the NFL championship game. Research by Ace Metrix indicates that the automaker has aired top-10 ads in each of the past seven Super Bowls it has participated in.
During the 2018 Super Bowl, the automaker spotlighted Hyundai Hope on Wheels in its “Hope Detector” ad starring pediatric cancer survivors who’ve been helped by donations from the nonprofit. Hyundai’s 2017 entry was a 90-second piece that featured returning U.S. military members.
