Since its inception in 2009, the Kia Soul has been a hit with drivers of all ages and backgrounds. With its funky exterior design and fun-to-drive reputation, the Soul has received numerous accolades, including “Best Compact Cars for Families” and “Best Compact Car for the Money” U.S. News & World Report, and a 5-star overall crash safety rating from NHTSA. Now, the Soul can add “Coolest Car Under $18,000” from Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com to that ever-growing list.
More Awards: Soul named to “Best Cars for Families” list
This isn’t the first time the Kia Soul has been included on this prestigious list. In fact, 2017 marks the sixth consecutive year that KBB.com has named the Soul a Coolest Car. According to KBB.com, the Soul continues to make the list thanks to its design, technology, and excellent value (the Base model starts at just $16,100 MSRP, while the top-level Exclaim model costs $22,800).
“It’s exciting to see that the Soul continues to be recognized as the stand-out vehicle it is,” commented Orth Hedrick, vice president, product planning, Kia Motors America. “We’ve really upped the fun factor this year with a new turbocharged model and its personality is infectious regardless of which model a customer buys. The fact that it’s been consistently included on Kelley Blue Book’s list of 10 Coolest Cars Under $18,000 is a clear indication that the Soul offers the perfect blend of style and substance.”
