Lincoln’s investment in creating one of the freshest and most exciting SUV lineups is paying dividends. The luxury brand reported an 11.7 percent year-over-year sales increase in Q3 at 27,934 vehicles delivered with a total of 21,354 SUVs sold. That figure is good for a 19.2 percent year-over-year gain from Q3 2018 SUV sales and the best Q3 sales mark for Lincoln SUVs since 2003.

The bulk of the Lincoln SUV lineup saw major sales growth between July and September. The all-new Aviator hit the market like a storm, generating 1,899 sales in short order. Sales of the Nautilus and MKX continued to be impressive at 7,962 vehicles, up 24.1 percent, and the Navigator managed a 9.4 percent gain with 4,345 examples delivered. Even the MKT managed growth, up 15.3 percent.

Sales of the Corsair and MKC were down 6.6 percent at 6,523 vehicles delivered, though this could likely be attributed to the phasing out of the latter and ramping up of inventory for the former in September. As the Corsair begins arriving more widely during the autumn, it will likely bolster Q4 SUV sales and help the brand finish the year strong.

Impressively, the Lincoln Continental scored a 2.2 percent Q3 increase with 1,896 cars sold. MKZ sales fell 10.7 percent at 4,684 vehicles.

Through three quarters, Lincoln is sitting pretty with 78,849 vehicles delivered, up 4.7 percent from its pace through nine months last year. SUV sales through September are up 11.9 percent at 60,463 percent with the Navigator, Nautilus/MKX, and MKT all posting year-to-date gains.
